With Sony Pictures having their presentation at Cinemacon in 2 weeks (April 24th) I decided to predict what ”Marvel” films they will be announcing/showing.
Although Sony will be showing first looks and exclusives of other films this article will just cover Sony Marvel films.
The article will be split into 3 categories. Definitely, maybe and “one can only dream” meaning it probably won’t happen but I wish it did.
With that, all said let’s jump into the article.
Definitely will be announced
Across The Spider-verse
At last year’s cinemacon Sony showed the first 15 minutes of the film to its audience so with Across the Spider-verse releasing on June 2nd I reckon Sony will show a clip or something since the film is so near to release.
“What sort of clip?” Well with this film having so many cameos and surprises in store I say they will show the fight scene between Miles and Spider-man 2099 due to it being heavily teased in the last 2 trailers we have gotten.
Kraven The Hunter
With Kraven The Hunter set for release on October 6 this would be the best place for Sony to release a trailer and poster for the film.
Venom 3
With Venom 3 being rumoured to start filming in June (via Daniel rpk) and Tom Hardy announcing on Instagram that Venom 3 was in pre-production I’m pretty confident we will get a release date during the presentation.
Madame Web
Even though Madame Web is set to release on February 16th 2024 I think it’s too soon to get a trailer but with filming pretty much finished I think we will get a teaser/clip or stills of the film.
Maybe
Spider-man 4 (Tom Holland)
With the success of No Way Home and rumours of Tom Holland making an appearance in Across the Spider-verse, we all want an official update on Spider-man 4. The only info we have on the film right now is a bunch of rumours and Daddy Kevin Feige saying they are currently working on the script.
The only reason I’m putting this as a “maybe” is because if this film does have a release date of late 2025 I just don’t see them officially announcing it this early.
El Muerto
The Film nobody asked For. Since being announced last year there have been no updates on El Muerto and they haven’t even started filming yet even though the film has a release date of January 12th 2024. So chances are the film has been delayed and they will announce that at the presentation.
Hypno-Hustler
Announced by THR (The Hollywood Reporter) in December last year this film is rumoured to be produced and star Donald Glover who played Uncle Aaron in Spider-Man Homecoming. Cinemacon would be the perfect place to announce this.
One can only dream
Amazing Spider-man 3 and spider-man 4 (Tobey Maguire)
I feel like this one is obvious which is why I put them together but yes me and a lot of people would like an amazing Spider-Man 3 and a Spider-Man 4.
