Rumours are currently making the rounds that Sony is trying to rush the release of Spider-Man 4 by trying to get it out next year, while Marvel apparently wants to take their time and release it in 2026.
So the question is why would they want to release it as fast as possible, is it because they are stupid (that’s debatable right now), impatient?, well I have a Theory that although is short, it’s probably true.
I believe the reason why Sony wants to get Spider-Man 4 out so quickly is because of the money they are going to lose due to Madame Web and most likely Kraven The Hunter.
It currently looks like Sony is going to lose money due to how poorly received Madame Web is, and chances are, even if Kraven The Hunter is good, people might not see the movie due to Madame Web.
Yeah, Venom 3 is going to make more than its budget but it won’t do the numbers Spider-Man No Way Home did at the box office, and with rumours that Sony wants Spider-man 4 to be another Multiverse film with Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield, maybe they are hoping by doing that, Spider-Man 4 will not only make a billion at the box office like no way home, but maybe they are also hoping that the money they make from spider-man 4 will cover the cost of what they lost from Madame Web and potentially Kraven the hunter.
