The majority of Spider-Man fans this time last year were eagerly awaiting their copy of Insomniacs Spider-Man 2 (myself included) to which when I paid the price for the most expensive copy and finally played the game and after completing it, I felt like it had nothing else to offer like most fans of the superhero, to which it has caused some fans to turn on the beloved creators.
Play time?
The generic run of the first Spider-Man game by Insomniac to complete the story was at an average of 17 hours to 100% it averages out to a further 7 hours. In retrospect to complete Miles Morales was at an average of 9 hours, it also averages out that to 100% it could add on an additional 13 hours in total 24 hours to 100% this. Now when we speak about the latest addition to the game being Insomniacs Spider-Man 2, It does vary as many players complete it 100% between 18 to 25 hours with speaking about not having any DLC or any chance at the time of writing no way to replay any of your favourite missions (we all know the one) we do not want to spend another 5 hours of continuous play to get to another mission where it would only take 5 minutes to complete.
The future of Spider-Man
The future at the time of writing leaves many questions on our minds, with such leaks showing there would be DLC and a chance of replaying the missions which is coming within days of this article being written, to which it leaves us the gamers with questions, why wasn’t any of this including from the start as most players that I have spoken to it has left a sour taste in their mouth regarding this very hot topic. Hopefully, we will know more about the future of Spider-Man 2 and what the road maps look like as much like myself and many fans love the hero and the game was great but the endgame of it has left abittersweet taste in our long-lasting memories.
Along with this we also had future teases for “Certain” characters and maybe even a tease to a beloved character end?
Leaks – Spoilers Ahead!
Now when I emphasise this please do not scroll any further as if you have not seen the leaks or completed the game this would be major spoilers.
Now the road map that leaked included one very popular character which was Carnage and whilst most people are excited it does leave myself with many questions, such as I know that the Symbiote was “Wiped” after that last battle with Peter and Miles and Cletus said he got this Symbiote from Oscorp while it was still kept in a Tank/Tube so maybe it was left free of this wipe? who knows maybe they will explain further into the DLC. There was also talk about The Beetle making an appearance due to this “Leaked” Roadmap which still has not been confirmed if 100% legitimate. Whilst the year has not been kind to Insomniac we appreciate the hard work and effort that has gone into our favourite hero and characters and will still have faith in what they will produce. A potential hot topic but there are some fans believing that Miles could take over the Carnage Symbiote whilst he is training Silk (Cindy Moon)
