Fan projects are a way for people to tell a story or continue a story of their favourite character(s) that a studio or creator won’t for some reason.
Well, today I’ve come to talk about the ‘ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN CARTOON’ fan project, created and directed by Dally (@dinkledally) and co-directed by Austin C. Williamson (@ACWIsHere).
The project is based on the supposedly cancelled 2003 Ultimate Spider-Man show while also using their own ideas and some story elements from the USM comic (the 2000–2011 run, not the new one).
I know a lot of us had a bad experience with a CERTAIN Spider-Man fan project last year, to the point that it put a lot of us off of supporting fan projects, but trust me, not only will this project put your faith back in fan projects, it’s something that, as a Spider-Man fan, you will not only enjoy but feel proud of.
I got to see the animatic for the plot/first episode (Birth of a Hero) a while ago, and it was amazing.

I won’t go into spoilers since I was ask not to, but it was Amazing, ULTIMATEly good (sorry for the bad joke), even though it was just the animatic, you could tell so much love went into this, from the way Peter is portrayed, to all the references, The voice acting, sound effects, soundtrack and more, you could tell this project was made BY spider-man fans, for Spider-man fans.
Talking of voicing acting, I will say this: the voice for Peter (Browntable @Browntable_Ent) is what I can describe as the perfect voice for Peter—a mixture of Josh Keatons performance while throwing in their own unique take on it.
Although there is no date yet, I’m sure that this project will be a hit once it’s fully finished.
