It was revealed that Sony will have a panel at New York Comic Con on October 11th at 7.45pm where they will reveal news and footage of their upcoming films; the panel will be an hour and a half long.
In this article I will predict what Marvel Spider-Man-related stuff we could see at the panel and rate how likely it is to happen.
Note: even if we get anything in this list, there’s no guarantee it will be released publicly.
SPIDER-MAN BRAND NEW DAY.
With hype for Spider-Man Brand New Day being at an all-time high, it would be a mistake for Sony not to reveal anything, but what could they possibly reveal???.
With filming only starting in July and with the film not releasing for another 11 months, it’s way too soon for a trailer to be released, but what I think they might do is either show BTS footage of filming from Glasgow, cast announcements, stills/clips from the film, or all the above.

People will call me delusional, but I think we will definitely get something, as the film is getting talked about in social media every day; it would be a big mistake for Sony not to capitalise on the hype.

SPIDER-MAN BEYOND THE SPIDER-VERSE
Going to get booed for this, but I’m not expecting anything, as I think they’re saving Beyond the Spider-Verse stuff for CinemaCon 2026, plus it looks like recording for lines only started yesterday (August 20th), so if we do get anything, it’ll be something small like a poster or new stills.

Like I said, I think they’re saving Beyond the Spider-Verse stuff for next year’s CinemaCon since we are still a year and a half away from the film releasing.
Spider-Man Beyond The Spider-Verse is set to release on June 25th 2027
SPIDER-PUNK ANIMATED FILM
Revealed by trades to be in development, this film could get an official announcement at the panel.

It all depends on how confident Sony is that the film will actually release.
SPIDER-WOMAN ANIMATED FILM
The only things known about this film are that it’s a Spider-Verse spin-off and that it’s still in development; it’s unknown which Spider-Woman it’s based on.

If this film is still happening, I feel like this is something they’ll announce after Beyond the Spider-Verse has been released.
VENOM ANIMATED FILM
This film has been in rumoured development for a while now, and no matter what you think about the live Venom films, an animated Venom movie would guarantee money at the box office.
Could Sony reveal it here? I personally think no because if they were to reveal it anywhere, it’d be CinemaCon since that’s a bigger event than New York Comic Con, but never say never.

Officially in development, nothing more is known about this, although it is rumoured to release after Secret Wars, so I don’t think an update will be revealed yet for another few years.

SONY SPIDER-MAN UNIVERSE REBOOT ANNOUNCEMENT
KILL IT, KILL IT WITH FIRE
Jokes aside, Sony has openly admitted they’ve gone back to the drawing board with the SSU, but with rumours that they are planning to reboot the SSU after Secret Wars, I think we are luckily still years away from an SSU reboot announcement.
