On April 13th, 2026, at 6:30pm PT (that’s 2:30am for me ðŸ˜ðŸ˜), Sony will host a 2-hour and 15-minute presentation of their upcoming films at CinemaCon, and as always, I will try to guess what Marvel projects will be announced/revealed and how likely it will be to happen.
So let’s start the guessing.
SPIDER-MAN BRAND NEW DAY
Yes, this is a “water is wet” type guess; Spider-Man Brand New Day is going to be one of Sony’s biggest films to release this year, so we will definitely get something for this at the presentation.
SO WHAT COULD WE GET?
If for some reason we don’t have the trailer by the time this presentation happens, then the trailer will be revealed, but I’m hoping the trailer will be revealed by then, so a clip will probably be shown.

SPIDER-MAN BEYOND THE SPIDER-VERSE
As we all know, at Sony’s Cinemacon presentation last year, we got stills for this film, but with Beyond the Spider-Verse still a year out, will Sony tease the film again, or will we get nothing now for the film until they release the trailer later this year or next?
SO WHAT COULD WE GET?
I do think Sony will tease the film at the panel to keep the hype up by either releasing more stills or by dropping a poster.
Is a teaser trailer possible? Yes, but again, with the film a year out, who knows?

SPIDER-PUNK/SPIDER-GWEN
I’m putting these films together, as the chance of getting something for them is about the same.
Although not a lot is known about these films, we do know that both are confirmed to be in active development and that the first draft for the Spider-Punk film was nearly done a few months ago.
SO WHAT COULD WE GET?
Logos, writer, cast, and date announcements.
I feel like if we do get something for these, it will be after Beyond the Spider-Verse has been released, as all focus is currently on that at Sony, but with both in active development, never say never.

VENOM ANIMATED MOVIE
The Venom animated film has been rumoured for years, but thanks to the Hollywood Reporter, we now know this film is not only real, but we also know that the directors for Final Destination: Bloodlines, Zach Lipovsky and Adam Stein, are directing the film.
SO WHAT COULD WE GET?
Just an announcement that it’s coming.
Again, never say never, but according to reports, they haven’t got writers for this film yet, so we could be 5+ years from this film releasing or even getting an announcement for it.

MILES MORALES LIVE ACTION MOVIE
Officially, the only thing known is that it’s coming at some point.
Now rumour-wise, what’s known is that they are currently casting for the film and that it’s coming after Avengers: Secret Wars.
SO WHAT COULD WE GET?
Date announcement, but if the rumours of it coming after Secret Wars are true, then it will probably be announced in 2028 or something.

SPIDER-MAN SPIN-OFF UNIVERSE REBOOT ANNOUNCEMENT
“Dread it. Run from it. Destiny arrives all the same.”
Whether you like it or not, Sony will try to reboot their spin-off universe again, and according to rumours, it’s coming after Secret Wars.
SO WHAT COULD WE GET?
Announcement that they are rebooting the spin-off universe with a slate of films they will be making, but again, it’s rumoured to be coming after Secret Wars, so maybe no announcement this year.
