With the title of Venom 3 The Last Dance being revealed recently, I decided to do an article on everything we 100% know plus some of the wild rumours that are out there.
It Takes Place After Spider-man No Way Home (pretty much confirmed)
This is quite obvious, but yeah with recent set photos and set videos from 2022, it’s pretty much confirmed that Venom 3 The Last Dance takes place after No Way Home, as Tom Hardy is still wearing the clothes he did in the post-credit scene for no way home.
The film begins in Mexico (Confirmed by set video and set photos)
Although this video was filmed in Spain, set photos confirm the film will begin in Mexico due to set photos showing that they are celebrating the Day of the Dead festival, which is an event that takes place in Mexico every year.
Cast (Confirmed By Trades)
So far the cast confirmed for Venom 3 The Last Dance are Tom Hardy (Eddie/Venom), Juno Temple (unknown role), Clark Backo (unknown role), and Chiwetel Ejiofor (unknown role).
Now let’s start talking about the rumours, I will rate them from most likely to unlikely.
Chiwetel Ejiofor is Orwell Taylor (Rumour from Daniel RPK)
In the comics, Orwell Taylor was the general of the United States Army, and his son Hugh who also joined the army was killed by Venom.
Orwell tries to get revenge by forming a group called “The Jury”, members include Orwell, Screech, Sentry, Hughs’s former Army buddies and his former work friends from the prison “The Vault”, the purpose of “The Jury” is to bring venom to justice.
I think this rumour is very likely to happen since Daniel RPK is a trusted source, but I feel like the origins of Orwell Taylor will be a little different to that of the comics.
Eddie/Venom go looking for spider-man in their universe (4chan Rumour)
It’s 4chan so super grain of salt but this could likely happen in some way.
In the No Way Home post scene Eddie says that he should go to New York and talk with Spider-man, so even though it’s a 4chan Rumour, I’m giving the rumour a somewhat likey rating.
Eddie/Venom become a father figure to Peter after trying to kill him (4chan Rumour)
…………………. You read that right, according to 4chan, Eddie and Venom have a vision through the symbiote multiversal hive mind and see different versions of Spider-man killing Venom, so Eddie and Venom go to kill Peter, finds out he’s only a kid and starts to become a father figure to him…….
…… What……. I’m rating this as very unlikely.
