In season one of What If……, we had zombie Hunter Spider-Man; in season two, SPIDER-MAN WASN’T FUCKING IN IT.
But good news! Rumour has it he will be in season 3, and it looks like he’ll be bringing one of his villains with him. Although there aren’t a lot of rumours about him in season 3 right now, I decided to look at the currently available rumours that are out there.
Mysterio Is Coming (Via CanWeGetSomeToast)
Via CanWeGetSomeToast, Mysterio will be in What If… Season 3. Nothing more is known at the moment, but I assume it’ll have something to do with the events of everyone’s favourite Spider-Man film, Far From Home.
Spider-man Will Have A Role In The “What If Surtur Attacked Earth” Episode
So a few years ago, a few storyboards for some what-if episodes (some that were later in season 2 of What If) were leaked. Usually, I credit where the leak came from, but the person who leaked them said some fucked-up stuff a while back, so I don’t want to remind everyone of them.
Anyway, the leaked storyboards that Spider-Man were in were for a what-if Surtur Attack Earth episode that sees Doctor Strange and Wanda teaming up, although there’s no confirmation that the episode is in season 2. Someone who works on the show says an episode for season 2 got pushed back to season 3, so chances are it’s this one that got pushed back.
